1) Try out hundreds of different activities
We've done it all at 3rd Codnor Scout Group, try your hand at all sorts of activities that we get up to on a regular basis, being a Scout at 3rd Codnor really does get you involved in some fun and fantastic activities. Take a look at what we've got planned at the moment here.
2) Meet new friends
Meeting up every week is a great chance to have some fun with some good mates, have a laugh and do some great activities together. You'll meet adventurous people like you who want to do something a little different. The friends you make within scouting will be the ones you'll keep for a long time!
3) Have fun!
Cheif Scout Bear Gryls says life is about grabbing opportunities! We agree! Above everything else, Scouting is about enjoying yourself, whatever you're doing - and there'll always be plenty to do!
4) Get Outdoors
As a Scout, you get to explore the big outdoors, travel to new places and try new things. It sounds better than being stuck in the house with nothing to do, right? That's because it is!
5) Learn exciting things
Not many people know about the stars at night, how to sail a dinghy, or make a rabbit stew on a campfire, but you will! Scouting helps you learn lots of new and amazing skills - and you get to earn badges and rewards along the way!
